If you type your cPanel login details correctly but still cannot log in, one of these is usually the reason:
1. The account is suspended #
When an account is suspended, the site shows “This Account Has Been Suspended” and you cannot log in to cPanel, even with the right password. The account must be reactivated by our accounts team first. Common reasons are an unpaid renewal invoice, the site affecting the server so much that it cannot stay online, or a breach of the terms of service. Contact support to find out the reason and how to reactivate it.
2. An administrator changed the password #
In rare cases a server administrator changes an account’s password for security reasons, such as a weak password or a hacking attempt. We email you the new password; if you did not receive it, contact us.
3. Another user changed the password #
If several people use the account, make sure none of them changed the cPanel password. Only the main account owner registered with us can request a password change, and the new password is only sent by email, never in live chat.
4. Your IP address is blocked #
After several failed login attempts, the server’s protection (cPHulk or the firewall) can block your IP address for a while. Wait and try again, or contact support to remove the block.
You can also reset your password from the client area. See how to change your cPanel password.
