What is CloudLinux? #
CloudLinux is a Linux-based operating system with kernel changes that give server administrators precise control over resource usage and isolate users, so problems in one account don’t degrade service for others.
The problem in traditional shared hosting #
On a shared server, hundreds of websites share the same resources. Without limits, one site using an unfair share (because of a DDoS attack, a badly written script or a traffic spike) can slow down or crash the whole server and every site on it. Finding the culprit takes time and often means suspending accounts.
How CloudLinux solves it #
CloudLinux places each account in its own LVE (LightWeight Virtual Environment) with a set amount of resources. If a site reaches its limits, only that site is affected, and the other sites on the same server keep working normally.

Security with CageFS #
CageFS isolates each user so they can’t see or access other users’ files, and system files are read-only, which makes shared hosting much safer.
