What does auto renew mean at Hyyat Host? #
With auto renew on, we send you the renewal invoice 30 days before the domain expires, with an email reminder. The amount is not charged automatically: you pay the invoice with the method you prefer and the domain renews once paid. Auto renew is on by default for every new domain, so you never lose a domain by forgetting.
How to turn auto renew on or off #
- Log in to the client area with your email and password, or with the Google account linked to it.
- Open Domains → My Domains and click the domain you want.
- In the “Manage” sidebar, choose Auto Renew.
- You will see the Auto Renewal Status: “Enabled” or “Disabled”. Click Disable Auto Renew to stop it, or Enable Auto Renew to turn it on.
What happens before and after your domain expires? #
- 30 days before expiry: the renewal invoice is issued if auto renew is on, and a reminder is emailed to you.
- Renewal date: pay before it so your website and email keep working without interruption.
- Grace period: 10 days for .com, .net and .org, and 15 days for .sa. Your site and email may stop, but renewal is still possible.
- Redemption period: 25 days, and getting the domain back costs an extra redemption fee.
- After that: the domain may be deleted and become available for anyone to register.
FAQ #
Is the renewal charged automatically? #
No. You receive an invoice and pay it yourself. See payment methods.
When do I get the renewal invoice? #
30 days before the domain expires, and it also appears under Invoices.
Can I renew now, before the invoice? #
Yes. See renewing your domain manually.
My domain expired; what now? #
Renew it right away from Renew Domains while it is in the grace period. If it is past that, open a support ticket and we will tell you the redemption fee.
I turned auto renew off; does my site stop now? #
No. The domain works until its expiry date; turning it off only stops the renewal invoice.
