Transferring a domain from the Saudi Network Information Center (SaudiNIC) to Hyyat Host lets you manage your Saudi domain from your Hyyat Host account. You need the domain’s authorization code from SaudiNIC, and the administrative contact’s email and mobile number must be correct and reachable.

Steps to transfer the domain #

1. Log in to the SaudiNIC domain services portal #

2. Request the domain’s authorization code (Auth-code) #

The owner of the account linked to the domain requests the Auth-code from the portal.

• A link is sent to the current administrative contact’s email, and an activation code to their mobile.
• The administrative contact clicks the link and enters the activation code.
• The authorization code is then shown to the administrative contact.

3. Send the authorization code to the registrar #

• Government entities: send the code to the Digital Government Authority.
• Individuals and non-government entities (establishments, companies, non-profits): send the code to Hyyat Host by opening a ticket from the client area.

4. The registrar submits the transfer #

After verifying the request, we submit the transfer request to SaudiNIC through the domain registration system.

5. SaudiNIC confirms with the administrative contact #

1. SaudiNIC emails the administrative contact a request to approve the transfer, with an activation code sent to their mobile.
   • If the administrative contact approves, or 5 days pass from the message date, the transfer is accepted and completed.
   • If the administrative contact rejects it, the transfer is cancelled and the domain stays as it is.
2. The administrative contact is notified of the final result (accepted or rejected).
