When is a Saudi domain suspended? #

Saudi domains whose management period has ended without renewal are suspended 30 days after expiry. The website and email on that domain stop working until it is renewed.

How to reactivate a suspended Saudi domain #

• If your domain is with Hyyat Host: open a support ticket from the client area and ask for renewal.
• If your domain is with SaudiNIC directly or another registrar: transfer it to Hyyat Host (see how to transfer a Saudi domain from SaudiNIC).

Why is there a fee to manage a Saudi domain? #

SaudiNIC registers and manages Saudi domains free of charge through an account with them, but this requires constant follow-up: you must watch for any messages from SaudiNIC to avoid losing ownership of the domain, as set out in the Saudi domain registration rules. Hyyat Host acts as the intermediary that handles registration and ongoing account management for you.

What if I don’t want to renew with Hyyat Host? #

You can create your own account with SaudiNIC and start transferring the domain from the Hyyat Host account to yours. You do this directly as the domain owner. Under its terms of service, SaudiNIC will ask for official supporting documents to prove your right to the domain.
