In short: In the dashboard go to Posts → Add New Post, write the title and content, choose a category, tags and a featured image in the sidebar, then click Publish or schedule it for later.
Steps to add a new post #
- Log in to the dashboard at yoursite.com/wp-admin.
- From the sidebar choose Posts, then Add New Post.
- Type the post title, then write the content in the editor.
- To add an image, video or subheading click + and choose the block. To embed a YouTube video, just paste its link on its own line.

- Add tags: keywords separated by commas.
- Set a featured image, shown with the post in the blog and when it is shared.
- Write an excerpt if you want a short summary on the blog page.
- Click Publish. To schedule it, click Immediately next to the publish option and pick a date and time.
Tips for better SEO #
- Break the post into subheadings (H2, H3) and keep paragraphs short.
- Write alt text for every image describing its content.
- Link to related posts on your own site.
- Use an SEO plugin such as Rank Math or Yoast to write a good search title and description.
