Scan the QR code with the app, enter the 6-digit code and click Configure. cPanel will then ask for the code from your phone with your password at every login.<\/div>\n<p>Two-factor authentication adds a second step to your cPanel login: your password plus a code from your phone. Even if someone learns your password, they cannot log in without your phone. The code changes every 30 seconds.<\/p>\n<h2>What you need<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>A smartphone (Android or iPhone) with <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.google.android.apps.authenticator2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Authenticator for Android<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/app\/google-authenticator\/id388497605\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Authenticator for iPhone<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Access to your cPanel account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Turn it on<\/h2>\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong> Log in to cPanel (see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hyyat.com\/en\/knowledgebase\/how-to-log-in-to-cpanel\/\">how to log in to cPanel<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong> In the <strong>Security<\/strong> section, click <strong>Two-Factor Authentication<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hyyathost.com\/images\/2017\/07\/24\/Screenshot-7_24_201711_00_40AM.png\" alt=\"Two-Factor Authentication\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>3.<\/strong> Click <strong>Set Up Two-Factor Authentication<\/strong>.
